Brandon Thomas
Through painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, woodworking, and mixed media, my work explores the delicate balance between nature, faith, and the fleeting beauty of life. I am drawn to the intricate details of the world around us; patterns in wood grain, the movement of light, the quiet resilience of nature, as reflections of something greater than ourselves. I am also drawn to the grandeur that art can represent. Exploring interpretations through abstraction is also sometimes apparent in my work.
Art, to me, is a way of preserving both memory and hope. It is a space where the temporary meets the eternal, where the brevity of life is met with the promise of something more. Art gives new life. I want my work to invite viewers to slow down, to notice the intentionality and unique designs in the world (and in us), and to recognize their own worth within all of it.
By weaving together organic forms, symbolic elements, and varied textures, I seek to create pieces that not only capture beauty but also point to a deeper narrative; one of wonder, purpose, and connection.
