2026 Membership Details:
Jambalaya Arts Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
All proceeds from member rents, events, and the business percentage of the commission goes right back into the gallery.
All of the people who work in the gallery, keep it open, plan events, and have kept Jambalaya Arts Inc.'s doors open since 2001 are volunteers. The only payments are to the artists when their art sells or commission on sales.
We do not jury members in, and anyone with original art is welcome to show at Jambalaya. Our members range from people just starting to create to seasoned masters of their craft who have been producing for years. The youngest member we've had was 7 when she started, and our oldest member is well into his 80s.

Members are accepted based on available space. To begin the process, visit the gallery on a Monday evening during a member meeting (5:30-6:30pm) or stop by during open hours to schedule an appointment with our Gallery Manager or Director of Artist Management.

We have a new Member Contract for 2026
All members will need to sign a new contract for the upcoming year.

As a cooperative, Jambalaya Arts Inc. thrives on the active involvement of its members. Artist participation is what keeps our gallery vibrant and successful. Jambalaya Arts Inc. is not a place where you can drop your work off and show up when there is a payout. ALL members are expected to actively participate in all aspects of the business and assist in running the gallery. To ensure fairness and engagement, we’ve introduced a few updated requirements for 2026:

New Participation Guidelines for ALL members:
-
Attend one member meeting per month (in person or online).
-
Participate in person at ONE gallery event per month.
-
This can be any event, such as:
-
Gallery Walk (1st Saturday, 6–9 PM)
-
Workshops or classes (always free for members; some supply costs may apply or bring your own)
-
Shows or other special events
-
-
Please note: Regular shop hours do not count as an event.
-
Minimum time: two hours for the in-person commitment
-
We will be tracking participation to help maintain fairness and accountability. If a member is unable to meet these requirements, we will reach out to discuss whether they’d like to continue their membership.

We understand that mobility or other challenges may affect participation; accommodations will be made on a case-by-case basis.

ALL ART WORK MUST BE READY TO DISPLAY OR HANG

-
2D work must have hangers attached so it can be hung easily and securely. This also applies to anything you hang yourself. We recommend that all work is presented in either a frame or sleeve (i.e. no loose paper drawings).
-
3D work must be stable and able to be placed on a level surface without falling over or be hung from a secure attached hanging point.
-
Jewelry or smaller items should be displayed on racks or displays and not loose on a shelf.
-
Jambalaya Arts Inc. is not responsible for damage to your work if the hangers or displays fail.
-
Jambalaya provides screws, nails and has drills and tools to use for hanging your work. Any other methods of display are up to the individual artist.

There are several levels of membership. Each level comes with different structures and responsibilities.

Note that ALL members regardless of membership level are expected to be an active, participating member. Each member must attend:
-
One meeting a month (online or in person) and
-
One event per month in-person (Gallery Walk, workshop or any other group event)
We understand that mobility or other challenges may affect participation; accommodations will be made on a case-by-case basis.
There is a 3-month probationary period for all new and returning members. We reserve the right to cancel your membership at the end of your 3 month term if the required levels of participation are not achieved within that time.

We encourage our members to utilize the gallery space for other things besides showing your art. The space can be available to members to hold classes, workshops, concerts, private shows or...?

A member may cancel their membership at any time. Any rents paid at time of cancellation, will not be refunded.
