Membership details:
Jambalaya Arts Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
All proceeds from member rents, events and the business percent of the commission on sales goes right back into the gallery. All of the people that work in the gallery, keep it open, plan events and have kept Jambalaya Arts Inc doors open since 2001 are volunteers. The only payments are to the artists when their art sells or commission on sales.
We do not jury members in and anyone with original art is welcome to show at Jambalaya. Our members range from people just starting to create, to seasoned masters of their craft that have been producing for years. The youngest member we've had was 7 when she started and our oldest member well into his 80's.

ALL ART WORK MUST BE READY TO DISPLAY OR HANG
NO EXCEPTIONS
2D work MUST have hangers attached so it can be easily and hung securely. This also applies to anything you hang yourself. We recommend that all work is presented in either a frame or sleeve (i.e. no loose paper drawings).

3D work must be stable and able to be placed on a level surface without falling over or be hung from a secure attached hanging point.

Jewlery or smaller items should be displayed on racks or displays and not loose on a shelf.

Jambalaya Arts Inc. is not responsible for damage to your work if the hangers supplied fail.

There are several levels of membership ranging from $0 a month to $50 a month. Each tier comes with different structures and responsibilities. All members regardless of membership level are expected to be an active, participating member.

For members participating at ALL levels (including the $50 level with no store hours) we request that you are local or travel to the area frequently and visit/participate/attend events/attend meetings or engage in some other way. We are a co-op that operates and functions based on participation of our members, and absent members do not forward our mission or community engagement. See participation definitions below.
There is a 3-month probationary period for all new and returning members. We reserve the right to cancel your membership at the end of your 3 month term if some level of participation or engagement, or required levels of participation are not achieved within that time.

We encourage our members to utilize the gallery space for other things besides showing your art. The space can be available to members to hold classes, workshops, concerts, private shows or...?

Membership is month to month and, with notice, you can switch between levels at the start of the next month.

A member may cancel their membership at any time. Any rents paid at time of cancellation, will not be refunded.
